The Ministry of Transportation requires that all commercial vehicles that meet the qualifications for registration be operated by a licensed operator that has received the Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration. This includes the following vehicles, but is not limited to the following list:
- Tow trucks regardless of weight (including flatbed trucks that tilt)
- Trucks with a gross weight of more than 4,500kg
- Buses with a seating capacity of 10 or more occupants
Depending on the truck/bus, you may require additional registration or certifications.
